Our application uses third-party artificial intelligence (AI) services to provide personalized wellness coaching. By using this app and consenting during account creation, you agree to the sharing of certain personal data with these third-party AI providers as described below.

What Data Is Sent

When you interact with our AI wellness coach or when our system generates personalized insights, the following categories of data may be sent to third-party AI services:

Your conversation messages with the AI wellness coach
Health and wellness information you provide (e.g., goals, check-in responses, dietary preferences)
Summarized health data derived from uploaded medical documents and lab reports (e.g., biomarker values, health risk categories)
Wearable device data summaries (e.g., sleep duration, activity metrics) if you connect a wearable device
Your first name (for personalized responses)

We do not send your email address, password, payment information, or raw uploaded documents to AI providers.

Who Data Is Sent To

We currently use the following third-party AI service providers:

Google LLC — Google Gemini API, used to generate AI wellness coaching responses, health insights, and personalized recommendations. Google's AI data usage policy is available at ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.
Anthropic PBC — Claude API, used for AI-powered analysis and coaching. Anthropic's usage policy is available at anthropic.com/policies/privacy.

We may add or change AI providers in the future. Any changes will be reflected in this Privacy Policy, and you will be notified of material changes.

Your Consent

Before your data is shared with any third-party AI service, you must explicitly consent during the account creation process. You may withdraw your consent at any time by discontinuing use of the AI coaching features or by deleting your account. If you do not consent, you will not be able to use the AI-powered coaching features of the app.

Data Protection by Third Parties

All third-party AI providers we use are contractually required to:

Process your data only for the purpose of providing services to us
Not use your data to train their general AI models
Implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures
Delete or return your data upon termination of the service relationship
Provide the same or equivalent level of privacy protection as described in this Privacy Policy

9. Wearable Device Data

If you choose to connect a wearable device (e.g., WHOOP, Oura), your wearable data is retrieved through Vital Inc., a third-party health data integration platform. The following data may be collected:

Sleep data (duration, quality, stages)
Activity data (steps, calories, distance)
Heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV)
Body metrics (weight, body fat percentage)
Workout data (type, duration, intensity)

Vital acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by a data processing agreement. Vital's privacy policy is available at tryvital.io/privacy. Connecting a wearable device is optional and requires your explicit authorization.

Apple HealthKit Data

If you connect Apple Health, data read from HealthKit is used solely to provide personalized wellness coaching and health insights within the app. HealthKit data is not used for advertising, marketing, data brokering, or any purpose other than providing health-related services to you. HealthKit data is not disclosed to any third party except as described in this policy for the purpose of providing our core wellness coaching service.

Google Health Connect Data

On Android devices, you may connect Google Health Connect to allow FORME to read health data directly from your device. The following data types may be read:

Weight — to track body composition trends and provide personalized nutrition guidance
Sleep (duration, stages, efficiency) — to analyze sleep quality and adjust daily wellness goals
Heart rate — to monitor cardiovascular health trends
Heart rate variability (HRV) — to assess recovery and stress levels
Step count — to track daily activity and progress toward movement goals
Active calories burned — to measure exercise intensity and energy expenditure
Distance traveled — to track walking and running activity
Resting heart rate — to monitor baseline cardiovascular fitness
Exercise sessions — to log workouts and active minutes

Health Connect data is transmitted securely to our servers and used by your AI health coach to generate personalized insights and recommendations. This data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising, marketing, or data brokering purposes. Connecting Health Connect is optional and requires your explicit authorization. You can disconnect at any time from the Sync screen in the app.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
